Although I'm openly atheist, it fun being a Parsi sometimes. One main advantage is that you get two birthdays!
The Parsi calendar ignores the concept of a leap year. So every four years, it goes back one day compared to the Gregorian calendar. Your first four years are the only ones with a single birthday. After that the fun begins. And as you grow older, the gap between the birthdays increases. For me it's a whole week -- what I call the celebration week!
This year, it was even better. I got the opportunity to host the on two consecutive weeks. The first -- on April 23 -- was on my Parsi birthday. The second -- on April 30 -- was on my "English" birthday. Read them here.
Awaiting next year for more birthday fun!
